An award-winning FAMU graduate well-known for her roles on television, film, and theatre, T'keyah Crystal Keymáh will star in her own stageplay, Don't Get Me Started this fall in Dallas and Chicago.

T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh: Always in Living Color

The name T'Keyah Crystal Keymáh has favorably resonated with television, film, and theatre audiences for more than twenty years. As a five-year series regular on Fox's Emmy Award-winning sketch variety show In Living Color, Keymáh dazzled viewers with an unending stream of zany characters and impressions. She is still seen regularly on In Living Color as the show continues in syndication. In addition to In Living Color, Keymáh has won fans from her starring television roles on Cosby (four seasons) and That's So Raven (three seasons). Other television series that featured her are: The Show, The John Larroquette Show, and On Our Own. Her film credits include Tales From the Hood, Jackie Brown, and The Gilded Six Bit. While television and film have always been exciting platforms for her to display her creative talents, the allure and excitement of theatre are alive in the heart and soul of this Chicago native. For Keymáh, theatre offers the ultimate challenge. “There is no second take in theatre and no breaks for commercials,” she says. “If you are not well studied, you will fall and there is no safety net. Few things are more exciting than that.”
